Robert Edward Shaw, Sr., 75, passed away peacefully October 13, 2015, at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born June 23, 1940, in Kennebunk, the son of Francis A. and Phyllis M. (Morse) Shaw.
Bob and his wife, Gladys, recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. He was an avid lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bob proudly served his country in the US Navy and later with the Maine Army National Guard.
He was predeceased by his parents. In addition to his loving wife, Gladys, Bob is survived by his children, Dean, Lori, Robert Jr., Francis, Brian, and Terri Lynn; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother Gary Shaw; and sisters Pat Vlahakos, and Christine Murdock.
Friends may call from 11 to 1 PM, Friday, October 16, at Grace Bible Church, 6 Blood Hill Road, Holden, where funeral services will be held at 1 PM, with Pastor Scott Daniels presiding. Interment will be at a later date at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
