BANGOR – Robert M. Thompson, 43, passed away unexpectedly November 17, 2021, at his home. He was born July 15, 1978, in Bangor, the son of Marshall E. and Rosa E. (Cole) Thompson.
Robert grew up in Holden. He graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1996. Following graduation, he pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at the University of Maine. Shortly after, Robert found his life’s calling in IT, working as an Infrastructure Administrator for Northern Light Cardiology.
Robert led a life filled with love, spending his time with family (and their pets), and friends. He was a selfless, giving man, constantly spending time and energy helping others. He was also an avid Red Sox fan and motorcycle enthusiast.
In addition to his mother, Robert is survived by his sister, Ellen Thompson, and her partner, Mike McFarlin; a very close niece, Lily McFarlin; a large, extended family; and many close friends he made throughout the years. He was predeceased by his father.
At his family’s request, services will be private.
