ALTON – Roger E. Mitchell, 58, passed away May 1, 2021, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 6, 1962, in Bangor, the son of Reginald Mitchell and Janice (Costigan) Carey.
Roger was the consummate family man; he was devoted, whole-heartedly to his family. He was a skilled carpenter and builder and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed playing his bass and singing with his father, friends and in the 2nd Chance band.
Roger is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Kim, of 41 years; sons, Jonathan, Guy, Adam, and Nicholas; daughter, Katheryn; eighteen grandchildren; and five siblings. He was predeceased by four grandchildren, Lil Guy, Jaquelin, Kayden, and Penelope.
