Hampden – Roland B. Fogg, 72, entered into eternal rest after a short illness on August 29, 2019.
Throughout his life, Roland was thoughtful and kind. His sense of humor and zest for life was endearing. Roland served his Country in the 101st Air National Guard for 26 years from 1966 - 1991 and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Archon Lodge #75 A.F. & A.M. in East Dixmont, the Anah Shriners, and was involved in the Keystone Kops Unit. Roland served on the Board of Directors for Associated General Contractors of Maine for 2 years.
He cherished the time he spent with family and friends. Roland loved to go to camp and take cruises on the pontoon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, snowmobiling, riding the ATV, going to and watching the Patriots, Red Sox, University of Maine hockey, and Nascar racing. Roland also enjoyed traveling all around the country and overseas.
He always was there to extend a helping hand, whether it was a friend or total stranger. Roland never sweated the "small stuff" and he always said, "it will work itself out". Roland will be greatly missed by all who's lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian (Sissy) Fogg; his children, Sean (Lisa) and Kimberly (Tammy Thibodeau); cherished grandfather of Morgan-Lea (Jake Patryn), Brandon (Jaimie Deschaine) and Bailee; son of the late Roland B. and Olive M. (Rowell) Fogg; dear brother of David (Vanessa) and the late Merton Fogg; mother and father-in-law, Carm and the late Robert Hardesty; brother-in-law of Robert (Patricia); Frank (late Linda); Edward (Mary Jo) Hardesty; nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
