Bangor - Ronald “Bernard” Plourde, 92, passed away January 28, 2022 at his home. He was born in Millinocket December 8, 1929 the son of Hally and O’Dell (Dionne) Plourde.
He served in the US Navy, Built bridges in Connecticut, returned to Millinocket and bought a restaurant, sold cars, built his home, and worked for Georgia Pacific until he retired.
He was predeceased by his first wife Molly, their son David, Granddaughter Alicia, and siblings: Roger, Vivian, Harold, and Geraldine.
Surviving are his wife, Florence M. Plourde of Bangor; children, Harold Plourde and wife Deborah of Millinocket, John Plourde and wife Debra of Lagrange, Catherine Frost and husband Rodney of Colorado Springs, CO, Tom Plourde and wife Deborah Anne of Millinocket; step-children, Renee Lindsey of Bangor and Claudine Bavelaar and husband Danny of St. Albans; many grandchildren: Stanley Coffin, Amanda Manship, Bernard Plourde, Jennifer Connis, Elizabeth Frost, Darlene Moscone, Brian Plourde, Tia Plourde, and many great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced in the spring.
