BANGOR- Ronald Earl Trafton, 81, passed away November 17, 2019 at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born January 18, 1938 in Milo, the son of Earl M. and Viola (Jones) Trafton.
Ronald enjoyed a long career as a truck driver. He loved being in his truck or surrounded by his children and family.
His interests included hunting, old western movies, books and country music. His wit and sense of humor were contagious. Ronald could be counted on to do or say something silly in any social setting for a laugh. He will be greatly missed and loved by many
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Judy Trafton and Frances Jack and two step-daughters, Elaine Kimball and Linda Rhodes.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Ann (Rennebu) Trafton; seven daughters, Valarie Ekholm and her husband, Bob, Penny Vintinner and her husband, Darryl, Susan Charles and her husband, McKenson, Tracey Rhodes and her husband, Chadwick, Melissa Moran and her husband, Randy; step-daughters Becky Haynes and her husband, Steve, Denise McLain and her husband, Rick,; sister Jeanette Arnold and her husband, Earland; brother, Dennis Trafton and his wife, Faye; 25 grandchildren, a truckload of great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 5-7PM Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A graveside service will be held 1PM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Williams Cemetery, Bradford.
