HAMPDEN - Rosa W. Narofsky, 81, passed away after a battle with cancer on November 16, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 7, 1937, in Hampden to Roscoe and Madeline (Cole) Leonard.
Rosa attended school in Hampden. She and her husband, Alex Narofsky, owned & operated the Al Rose Superette in Searsport for over 20-years. Rosa loved her camp on Halfmoon Pond and time with her family. She also loved being at the Blue Hill Fair and running the Al Rose Lunch Stand. Rosa enjoyed traveling to Florida with her sister Jeanette Witham (aka. "the Florida Twins"). She also loved dolls and crafts.
Rosa was predeceased by her parents; husband; brothers, Malcolm, Raymond, and Elwell Leonard; sisters-in-law, Theresa Leonard, and Lila Leonard.
Rosa is survived by her daughter, Renee Miliano, of Wilmington NC.; sons, Randy Narofsky, of Belmont, and Roland Narofsky and wife, Katie, of Hampden; grandchildren, Max Miliano, Evan Miliano, Brandy Basso and husband, Mike, Colette Rybarczyk, and husband, Paul, Coleen Narofsky, and Sophia Rose Narofsky; great grandchildren, Fiona, and Daniel Rybarczyk; sister, Jeannette Witham, and family; and cousin, Flossy Ryder
In keeping with Rosa’s love of Christmas, family and friends are welcome to share in conversation and refreshments at a Christmas season themed celebration of life from 4 to 6 pm, Wednesday, November 21, at Seasons Restaurant, 427 Main Street, Bangor.
There will be a graveside service held in the spring at Elmwood Cemetery, Searsport.
