December 28, 1960 — June 8, 2014

Rosanne (Boyle) Theriault, 53 of Brewer, passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2014 at home with her daughters by her side. She was born December 28, 1960, in Bangor, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Boyle Sr.

Her spirit is carried on by two daughters, Sara (Boyle) Sherwood and her husband Robert, of Brewer and Lindsey (Theriault) Drake and her husband Timothy, of Kenduskeag. Surviving in addition to her children; a twin sister, Roxanne Veney and her husband James of Garland, Texas; sister, Cindy Bonifas and her husband Dan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers, George Boyle of Bucksport and Marty Boyle and his wife Meg of Mount Vernon; life time friend Lori Crawford and her special daughter Ashley of Bangor; many nieces and nephews, cats: Mulligan and Patches. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Rosanne is reunited with her parents and grandparents.

Rosanne graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1981. Rosanne lived in Texas for a short time after high school before returning to Maine, the state she loved. Rosanne was a caregiver and worked with individuals who have developmental disabilities. She was passionate about improving the lives of others. Rosanne never gave up, despite being diagnosed with a kidney disease at the age of twenty-one, eventually requiring dialysis. Rosanne maintained a brave and cheerful outlook of an optimistic future - even through countless surgeries and long treatments.

Family and friends were Rosanne’s passion and delight. She grew up spending summers at camp on Chemo Pond, smelling the ocean in Bar Harbor and driving on the Loop Road. Above all, Rosanne loved to send letters- to everyone, about everything. You may read this, and recall a letter from her that touched your heart, or made you laugh so hard it brought tears to your eyes. Rosanne led by example and always inspired her children to pursue their dreams. Her daughters will always be grateful for having such a wonderful mother, her love and rich wisdom - we’ll continue to love you to the moon and back!

There will be a graveside service at Mount Hope Cemetery announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be sent in her name at www.giveforward.com. In continuation of Rosanne’s commitment in life to paying it forward donations will be used towards her memorial costs and the balance will be donated to the Bangor Humane Society in her memory. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
