Rose Marie Drake, 79, passed peacefully on February 1, 2025.

Every family needs a rock, and for decades Rose has been that rock. She set the perfect example of how to raise a family. She worked hard to support her husband in their various businesses while at the same time raising her family and making sure that they always had everything they needed. Rose knew no other way than to give generously of her love, time and attention to family and friends. She also loved spending time with the "LaGrange" girls.

Rose also knew that life shouldn't be all work and no play. She knew how to throw a party and then be the life of that party. Her fun and sassy personality will be missed. She was known for her spicy chili, pickled eggs, and "homemade" rolls.

Rose is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Valley and her husband Tony, of Brewer, and Lynn Grant, of Bangor; and a son, Michael Drake , of Clifton; two sisters, Viola Emerson, who was also her best friend, of Hermon, and Cindy Morgan Smith, of Carmel; three brothers, Douglas Morgan, of Pennsylvania, Jake Morgan of Standish, and Steven Morgan of Corinth; nine grandchildren who loved and adored her, Matthew Rublee, Jonathan Rublee, Benjamin Valley, Sheri Valley Schmidt, Jacob Valley, Spencer Valley, Michael Drake, Morgan Drake and Neveah Drake; nine great-grandchildren, Anthony Schmidt, Jeffrey Schmidt, Logan Schmidt, Dakota Rose Valley, Lillith Rose Rublee, Olivia Rublee, Nelson Rublee, Elianna Strout, and Henry Rublee, and many nieces and nephews.

Rose was predeceased by her husband, John M. Drake; a son, John M. Drake; two brothers, David Morgan and Millard "Ozzie" Morgan; and a sister, Patricia Barnett.

There will be an open house and celebration of her life, 1 pm to 4 pm Saturday, March 29,2025 at her daughter Jeannie's home, 46 Pine Valley Way, Brewer.
