Bangor - Rudolph Anthony Fournier, Sr., 77, died December 7, 2015, at a Bangor healthcare facility. He was born April 13, 1938, in Long Pond, the son of Ivan and Florence (Rancourt) Fournier.
After graduating from Jackman High School, Rudy served his country by joining the Army and becoming a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Later, Rudy joined the Bangor Fire Department where he retired with 20 years of service to the City of Bangor. After retirement he joined the Fire Department of the Air National Guard for 12 years. Together he and his wife Annette had tables at the Hobby Horse Flea Market in Searsport for 25 years.
In addition to his parents, Rudy was predeceased by brothers Ronald and Reginald. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Annette; 3 sons Tony and Leslie, Kevin and Tina, and Paul and Nicky; 2 granddaughters Holly and Jasmine; brother Raymond and sister-in-law Ginny; sister Rena; and many nieces and nephews.
