Sandra Arlene Rice

Sandra Arlene Rice, 63, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 3, 1958, in Norwich, Conn. the daughter of Myron A. Hutchinson Sr. and Patricia Jane (Haskell) Parks. Sandra worked for Glenburn School for 31 years working as a custodian and a bus driver. She was a longtime member of the Nealley’s Corner Church and served in many capacities. Sandra was the coordinator for birthday’s and anniversaries, she lead the shoe box program to send to the needy overseas, and she was the director for the Christmas holiday program which she coordinated every year for the church. She enjoyed bible studies and music night with the church and she loved her Ladies group she was involved with. She loved the Lord and her family, they were her greatest gift. Sandra’s greatest wish was that all would come to know the Lord. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children; Andrew Rice of Bangor, Becky Rice of Glenburn; grandchildren, Tyler Patterson of Glenburn, Emily Patterson of Orrington, McKinley Robinson-Rice of Levant; sister, Becky and husband Butch Joy of Corinth; brother, Darrell “Bubba” Parks and Laura Page of Glenburn; a sister-in-law, Denise Hutchinson of Old Orchard Beach; many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by two brothers Myron and Jeffrey Hutchinson. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 28, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Nute, officiating.
