BREWER- Sandra “Sandy” Jean (Campbell) McLaughlin, 76, passed away June 24, 2021 at her home. She was born November 14, 1944 in Hermon, the daughter of Percy C. and Alice M. (Edminster) Campbell.
She worked for many years starting at WT Grants as a cashier. After WT Grant closed, she worked at Campbell’s Bakery decorating cakes and tending to customers. Lastly, she worked at Marden’s as a cashier, where she retired after more than 8 years of service. Sandy enjoyed playing bingo, cards, candle pin bowling, and spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Myron E. McLaughlin; brothers, Alfred Gordon, Alton Gordon, Gerald Leonard, and Donald Leonard; sisters, Viola Walker, Virginia Marsh, and Phyllis Burgess.
She is survived by her sons, Clay McLaughlin and his wife, Sandy, of Topsham, Scott McLaughlin and his wife, Tina, of Bangor; daughter, Kelly Kobrin and her husband, Dave, of Orrington; grandchildren, Janalyn and Julissa McLaughlin, Trevor Stitham, Coty McLaughlin and his fiancé, Morgan Moon, Tiffani McLaughlin, Tabitha Groneng and her wife, Kaia; two precious great-grandsons, Connor and Silas; expected a great-granddaughter, Savannah due in October; brother, Wendall Leonard and his wife, Josephine, of Brewer; sister, Vivian Rennebu and her husband, Jim, of Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. Those who wish to remember Sandy in a special way may make donations in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt.
