BANGOR - Sarah E. Stetson, 42, died unexpectedly as a result of a brain anomaly March 17, 2023, at a local hospital. She was born October 25, 1980, in Bangor, the daughter of John H. and Alanna S. Stetson.
Sarah graduated from Bangor Christian Schools, Class of 1999. Following graduation, she attended the University of Maine. Though she had a brain malformation, Sarah had a beautiful, brilliant mind.
Her boundless, loving heart gave her much compassion, and a quickness to forgive. Relationships were always valued over material possessions, thinking of others’ needs over her own. This included all people, especially those who were treated as “not worthy” in our society. Her strong determination helped her overcome much in life.
She truly showed us the meaning of Grace in her life. Even in the most difficult of circumstances, her positive outlook kindled by strong faith helped her to never lose hope and love.
Surviving Sarah, in addition to her mother, Alanna, are her fiancé, Michael Bulger; children, Jericho Daniel, Isabella Marie, Kaleb, Seth and Isaac; brother, Nathaniel Stetson and his wife, Fatima; sister, Rebekah Campbell and her husband, Chad; brother, Daniel Stetson; nieces, Imana and Ava; and nephews, Jahaan Stetson, Kalyx, Quillon and Asher Campbell. Sarah was predeceased by her father, John H. Stetson and her grandparents.
A funeral service will be held by invite, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 12:00 p.m. until time of service, Wednesday. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, immediately following the service.
