Sean Somers

Brewer – Sean Bruce Somers, 43 passed away unexpectedly at a friend’s house August 13, 2016. He was born October 14, 1972 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Linda Gallagher, of Brewer, and Jerry Gallagher, of Winterport.

Sean graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1991 and immediately began painting with his father, a job he held for many years. Later, through on-the-job training, Sean learned a new trade, working with sheet metal. Sean worked for Central City Sheet Metal for many years and then went to work for Mike Marquis Mechanical, a job he loved very much. Sean could not say enough good things about all of the people he worked with. He loved them all. Sean was a very loving, hardworking, and dedicated individual who helped raise his niece, Lili McCarthy, for many years, teaching her how to tie her shoes, ride a bike, and many other things. Sean was always willing to help out friends in their time of need, no matter what.

Sean was predeceased by his grandparents, Bruce and Agnes Somers, of Caribou, whom he loved dearly; several aunts and uncles; and his dog Keebler. He is survived by his loving, caring, and amazing mother, Linda Gallagher, of Brewer; his father, Jerry Gallagher, of Winterport; his much loved niece, Lili McCarthy, of Brewer; his sister, Crystal McCarthy and fiancé, Gordon Parent, both of Brewer; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and friends, Shane and Kristina Goggins of Oregon, and John Day and Tracy Benn of Brewer.
