December 20, 1943 — January 28, 2016

Sharon Louise (Clifford) Blanchard, 72, passed away after a long illness, January 28, 2016 at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Bangor, December 20, 1943, the daughter of Earl R. and Frances L. (Ricker) Clifford.
Sharon graduated from Presque Isle High School. She went on to work for the State of Maine for many years until moving to Bangor to work with her husband until retirement.
Sharon’s greatest joys were spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchild, brother and families. She will be missed by many special friends from St. Pete Beach, FL and Bangor. Sharon loved her birds, animals and being near the water. She cherished all the vacations she took with family every year to a new destination. Sharon always loved helping others and touched the lives of everyone she met and never knew a stranger. She was very giving and accepting.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Laurie Monson and husband, Rick of Hermon, and Paula Coyle and husband, Kevin of Burlington, CT; three grandchildren, Broc A. Fleming and his fiancée, Jessica of Bangor, Maci P. Monson of Portland, Luke A. Monson of Hermon; great grandchild, Bryson A. Fleming of Bangor; brother, Ronald Clifford and wife, Wanda of Mapleton; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Ronald A. Blanchard; and her brother, Robert E. Clifford.
The family wishes to thank all of their friends who have been with them through this difficult time.
A committal service and Celebration of Life will be announced later in the spring.
