BANGOR - Shawn Amos Coulombe, 54, passed away peacefully at his home February 9, 2025, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer, surrounded by loving family and close friends. He was born November 11, 1970, in Bangor, to Richard and Marilyn (Miller) Coulombe.
Shawn grew up in Old Town and graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1990. After high school, he pursued a job in construction, mostly operating large machinery. He was very proud of the work he did, having his hands in many large local projects. He most recently, was employed by C &C Lynch and had been previously employed by S. E. MacMillan. Both companies were much more than just employers to Shawn, they were family.
Shawn loved sports and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. He enjoyed several trips to Patriots games with his best friend, Sean, and was a firm believer in "Sundays are for football." He passed on one of his favorite days of the year, Super Bowl Sunday. Shawn loved spending time with his friends and family. He was the kind of guy that could make friends with anyone, but kept a relatively small but special circle of friends that he cherished spending time with. He was great with children and was the "Fun Uncle" for his many nieces and nephews. Shawn was the type that always showed up for his family and friends when it meant the most. Along with so many other things, Shawn will be remembered for his supportive pep talks and "Hey, listens," secret handshakes, and Red Solo coffee cups.
