BANGOR – Sheila N. Cobb, 82, went home to be with the Lord peacefully with family by her side on December 20, 2020. She was born August 14, 1938, in Brewer, the daughter of Cecil B. and Gretha B. (White) Eldridge.
Sheila attended school in Brewer. Her greatest enjoyment was found in spending time with her family, whom she loved with all her heart, and celebrating her faith. Sheila’s favorite pastimes included cooking for those she loved, doing word searches, playing cards with friends, going on long rides and telling it like it was!
In addition to her parents, Sheila was predeceased by her husband, Alton Cobb, daughter, Marsha and brother, Linwood. Surviving, are her daughters, Colleen Maskell, Cheryl Cronk, Karen Thurston and her husband, Michael; sons, Jeffrey Freeman, and Harold Freeman; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 12:30p.m., Monday, December 28, 2020, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 S Main St, Brewer with the Rev. Randy Washington officiating. A reception will follow in the Family Reception Rooms of Brookings-Smith. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Please be mindful of others by practicing social distancing, wearing a face covering, that staff will be conducting contact tracing, and be aware that the number of people allowed in the building at one time is limited.
