Som Keenon Ratsakongsy, “Spikey,” beloved infant son of Spc. Som Christopher and Brandi Leigh (Upham) Ratsakongsy, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep, June 7, 2014. He was born August 2, 2013 in Ft. Bragg, N.C.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Newburgh; are two sisters, Kalayla May and Kaia Leigh, both of Newburgh; maternal grandparents, Andy and Linda Upham of Newburgh, paternal grandparetns, Som and Julie Ratsakongsy of Hampden; maternal great grandparents, Mark and Laverne Rustin of Newburgh, paternal great grandparents, Dana and Linda Scott of Bangor; aunts, Jennifer Theriault, Kathryn Upham, Kimberly Ratsakongsy, and Shyonna Rice; uncle, C.J. Upham; cousins, Chloe Nichole Brown and Somsun Perzanowski; many great aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Friday June 13, 2014 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday June 14, 2014 at Knowlton Cemetery, Route 9, Newburgh, with the Rev. Mark Rustin, officiating.
