BANGOR – Sonja R (Hobbs) Leighton, 79, passed away May 5, 2020, at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 24, 1940, in West Enfield, the daughter of Myron F. Sr. and Sarah F. (Welsh) Hobbs.
Sonja enjoyed family gathers and loved being around her grandchildren, she especially enjoyed time with two special grandchildren Travis and Erica. She like to go camping and take rides to the coast. She loved to draw, cross-stitch and crochet.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda L. Dashiell and her husband, Eric; and three sons, Shawn E. Leighton and wife, Bonnie, Aaron J. Leighton and wife, Nancy, and Wayde A. Leighton and wife Sue; as well as nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Myron F Hobbs, Jr., a sister Maysie Bouchard and a son, Dwayne E Leighton.
