Hampden - Stanley “Sam” Fish IV, 58, passed away unexpectedly January 18, 2024 , surrounded by his family.
He was the treasured son of Stanley A. Fish III and Sylvia (Vandez) Decker.
Stan was a graduate of Brewer High School class of 1984, he then attended EMVTI and graduated with a degree in welding and machinery. He had been employed at G.E. for 36 years.
Stan was raised to the sublime degree of a master mason by his father in 1989, at the Star in the East Lodge #060 AF&AM of Old Town, where he became master of the lodge in 1996. In 2005 he joined the Ralph J. Pollard Lodge #217 AF & AM of Orrington, and in 2009 he became master and served again in 2016. Stan continued to serve the lodge in different capacities until his passing. He joined the Low XII Riders Chapter of Widows Sons Motorcycle Association.
Stan was a member of the B.P.O.E. (Benevolent Protective Order of Elks) of Bangor and the Eagles Club of Brewer, Penobscot Aerie 3177.
Stan was a member of the Rock Church, Hampden.
Saddened by his passing are his family; beloved wife, Nancy Fish of Hampden; mom and step-dad, Sylvia and Don Decker of Eddington; two daughters, Allison Byers and husband Zac of Holden, Rebecca White and husband, Kurtis of Bucksport; one step-daughter, Kayla Rockwell and partner Joey Anderson of Holden; step-son Zachary Rockwell and fiancée Samantha Boksanski of Bath; two grandsons, Nathan and Owen, one granddaughter Audrey, another grandbaby expected in May; sisters Sara Fish and partner Tyce Toothaker of Hampden; Susan Austin and husband Ron of Old Town; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonel and Lisette Ducas; brother-in-law, Alain Ducas and his wife Danielle and their family.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 1pm to 4pm. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Jeff’s Catering and Event Center, 15 Event Center Way, Brewer, ME., where a masonic memorial service will be held at 2 pm. followed by a celebration of his life.
