Stanley Swallow

March 31, 1963 — April 22, 2020

If I could write a story, it would be the greatest story ever told of a kind, loving, friend, soul mate, worrier of many, a father to his sons and to those who had no father, also to those who lost their father too soon. He who had a heart of Gold. He who did not walk by those in need, he was the one who did not put just the 1 dollar bill or 5 dollars into the jar at the food bank, he was the one that put more. He went that 1 mile more, that extra step further, that helped that person who fell to get up, that blind guy or old lady to cross the street safely. If I could write a million pages it would till not be enough to tell a story about him, and still not be able to say just how much we love and will miss him every single day. We will remember all he had done for each and every one of us. The things he had wanted to do and did not get to do. The things he had tried to do. We all will remember the things he taught us; the things he did to make us laugh so we did not cry. The things he wanted us to do like smile and laugh, not cry form him, not be sad but just smile, just be kind to others, it’s that simple. He wanted people to know that everything you put something positive in the universe the world changes just a little bit for the better, and your own kindness invites miracles to show up, not just in your own world, but in the whole world. And that somedays you just have to invent y our own sunshine and smile, when skies are not so blue or clear or bright. Yes, we hurt now and it will hurt for a long time to come, but we can’t be sad because that would not be what he would want for us. IF we stumble or fall or get stuck, he’ll send us down the answers when we most need them. He’ll always be our friend, soul mate, worrier, hero, and most of all, father to those who needed a father. Not just his own children. Stanley William Swallow, Tristan Paul Swallow. But his adopted children, Jennifer Estell Hills Orchard, Philip Martin, as well was those other who felt he loved them as his own. His soul mate, Karen Ward, and mother of his two sons, Dedra Combs; numerous sisters and brothers, Jim Swallow, Steve Swallow, Karen Swallow; nieces and nephews, Tommy, Casey, Evey, Tessa, Eugene Jr., Jimmy, Audrey Hurzts, and many others; as well as family and friends like Jake and others who worked with him over the years who became more than friends. And if I’ve forgotten someone, please do not be offended. I cannot not list so many 100s of people he’s touched through these many years of his life. I so wish I could. These were only the few whom were there so many that should have that could not be, those whom tried but because of the corona virus we could not contact and because of limited time. But know this, every time you put something positive into the universe, the whose changes and Stan did this the best way he could. His kindness will live on and invite miracles to show up. Not just in his world, but in the whole worked too. Just be kind was his way, it’s just that simple.
