Steven Francis McAllister
Steven Francis McAllister passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024. He was born on May 14, 1957 in Waterville, Maine to parents Theresa (Mathieu) McAllister and Francis McAllister. Steve lived in Keene, New Hampshire for over thirty years before retiring to Maine.
Steve graduated from Waterville High School in 1976. He earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Vermont Technical College. With his hard work ethic, and desire to grow and learn, Steve had a very successful career. He was employed as an engineer at Kingsbury Corporation for seventeen years and then worked at Sonnax Industries for twelve years where he excelled to become Vice President of Engineering.
Steve was an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed mountain biking. He completed numerous Vermont 50 and Hampshire 100k bike races. He also shared his enjoyment of the outdoors with his daughters through hiking many mountains in New Hampshire, cross country skiing, camping, and canoeing. One accomplishment he was proud of was hiking five of the New Hampshire 4,000 footer mountains: Lafayette, Madison, Monroe, Jefferson, and Adams. He also spent much of his free time fishing and hunting.
Steve is survived by this daughters Emily (Christopher) De La Torre and Ashley (Craig) Chaffee; grandchildren Adriana Cossette, Andrew De La Torre, Adela De La Torre, and Frankie Chaffee; father Francis McAllister; and sister Annalisa McAllister. Steve is predeceased by his mother Theresa McAllister.
Time is a gift, life is precious, a ray of sunshine, and a drop of rain. Amen.
