Stewart Baird Gramlich

Clifton - Stewart B. Gramlich, 33, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2019. He was born on July 29, 1986 in Bangor, the son of Mike J. and Susan (Baird) Gramlich. Stewart graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine at Orono in the spring of 2010 with a B.S. degree in Biology. He graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School in 2005. While in high school, Stewart was a member of the football team and wrestling team. He was an exceptional wrestler and won medals at the Maine State Championship Wrestling Tournament on several occasions. During his years at Holbrook Middle School, Stewart participated on the chess team which won the State of Maine title in 2001. In addition to his parents, he is survived by an elder brother, William Gramlich and his wife, Sara Walton, and a younger brother, Nicholas Gramlich; also many aunts, uncles and cousins. Stewart had many friends and enjoyed deer and duck hunting, especially with his father. He also worked with his dad doing site evaluation work out in the field. A celebration of life will be held 1-3 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
