Susan Wells Campbell, 73, passed away surrounded by family on January 25, 2025. She was born March 21, 1951 in Farmington, ME. to Robert and Edith (Whittier) Wells. Susan married her high school sweetheart, Michael Campbell Sr., they started their family in Farmington, then relocating to Bangor to raise their boys. Susan loved to cook and care for others; this led her to begin working in the cafeteria of St. John's and St. Mary's schools. From there Susan moved on to work at CB Kenworth doing clerical work and sales administration, retiring from this position to help care for her grandchildren. Susan inherited her love of gardening from her father; Susan enjoyed teaching her grandchildren about tending the garden. Susan and Mike were well known for their garden and cooking. Susan's famous recipes live on through her family. Susan loved time with family. She was often getting into shenanigans with her sisters. She also enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, and brainteasers, and making the holidays magical for family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Campbell Jr. and his wife, Michele, of Bangor, and Marcus Campbell and his wife, Aimee, of Madison; grandchildren, Morgan MacMillan and her husband, Ben, and Broc and Reid Campbell; great grandchild, Annie May MacMillan; sisters, Sally Farmer and husband, Erald, of Temple, Nancy Ellis of Industry, Becky Bogue and husband, Jonathan, of Farmington, and Mary Young of Chapel Hill, Tennessee; brother, R. Scott Wells of Wilton, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her husband, Michael Campbell Sr.; and two brothers, Gregory and Roger Wells; brother-in-law, Theodore Ellis Sr.; great granddaughter, Kiera-Michele MacMillan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1PM, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Catholic Church, 217 York St., Bangor. In lieu of flowers, Susan may be remembered through donations to Empty Arms of Greater Bangor, 6 State Street. Suite 300, Bangor, in memory of Kiera-Michele.
