Susan (Davis) Grover, 70, wife of George V. Grover, died unexpectedly January 9, 2014, at her home in Holden. She was born November 25, 1943, in Argyle, daughter of Peter H. and Nannette (Turner) Davis.
Sue was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1962, and Bernard’s School of Hair Design. She will be remembered as a kind, generous and understanding lady to all.
Surviving in addition to her husband and high school sweetheart, George V. Grover of Holden, are two sons, Todd Kigas of Conn. and Scott D. Kigas of Veazie; special grandson, Zack Kigas of Veazie; two sisters, Patricia Bastey and husband, James of Veazie, and Mary Jo Zack and husband, Ed of North Carolina; other children, Curtis Bates of Winterport, Lorraine Colpitts and husband, Tom of Brewer, Joan Marodones and husband, John of Augusta, Christopher Grover and wife, Julie of Brewer, Kristen Leonard and husband, Kevin of Hampden, Hillary Grover and wife, Emily of Winterport; numerous other grandchildren, nieces and nephews; lifelong special friends Crystal and Victor Peavey and their son, Beau of Glenburn, Joan and John Murphy of Bangor, Mary and Robert Bamford of Florida, and Rose Avery of Hampden. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Timothy Kigas and her brother, Peter Davis, who died December 30, 2013.
A private graveside service for Susan and her brother, Peter will be held in May at a date and time to be announced in Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. The family will be inviting relatives and friends to share in conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the graveside service.
