Bangor - Susan J. (Oswald) “Sue” Jewell, 66, died April 13, 2021 at her home in Bangor after a brief illness. She was born on Nov. 10, 1954 in the Bronx, NY., daughter of William F. and Kathleen (Hebrank) Oswald.
Susan graduated from Ward Melville High School in 1972 and married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Clarence in 1973. In 1986, they moved from Long Island NY., to Bangor with their 2 children.
Sue was an avid tennis watcher, and especially enjoyed watching the Williams sisters. She also enjoyed bowling and was on several leagues until she could no longer participate.
Sue worked at Bangor Walmart for over 20 years and she loved her job and all of the friends she made. Susan was also quick-witted and had a great sense of humor and was an amazing, selfless, loving, supportive woman who always put her family first.
She was an amazing mom, wife, sister and friend. She loved her family fiercely, and will be eternally loved and missed by us all.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband Clarence, are her children, Alison Link, and husband, David of Glenburn, William “Bill” Jewell and his wife Cindy, of Bangor, sisters, Judith Nolan of Willmington, NC., Nancy Oswald, and wife, Gerry Scotti of East Islip, NY., Jean Kirby, and husband, Jeff of Yucaipa, CA., and Connie Leslie and husband, Doug of Palmyra, NY; three grandchildren, Hunter Link, and fiance’ Jane Brown, and Caroline Link, of Glenburn, and Isla Jewell of Bangor.
Susan also had many nieces, nephews and cousins. Susan was predeceased by her parents, William and Kathleen.
Relatives and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Susan’s Life on Saturday April 24, 2021 between 3-6 PM., at the family residence at 918 Essex Str. Bangor.
Conversation and refreshments may be enjoyed by all who loved Susan and wish to gather to remember and honor her life.
