Susan J. Kearns, 63, passed peacefully November 19, 2020 at a Brewer healthcare facility. She was born November 13, 1957, in Bangor, the only daughter of Adrian R. and Irene F. (Withee) Stevens.
Susan graduated from Holbrook and Brewer High School, Class of 1976. She attended Orange County Vocational School, Class of 1978 where she received her LPN in nursing. She was a devoted nurse working at EMMC, and other healthcare facilities throughout her career.
Faith was especially important to Susan. She was a member of the North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church, and later became involved in Calvary Baptist and Clifton United Baptist Church.
She had many loves among cats and dogs, including quilting, cross stitch, crocheting, crafts, puzzles, music, and criminal investigative television shows.
In May 1982, she married Dana E. Kearns. Together, they had three children Eric, Kelly, and Brian.
In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her husband, Dana and oldest son, Eric.
She is survived by her daughter Kelly, and son, Brian. From her marriage, a brother-in law, William, and his wife, Carol, and their son Jonathan; and many cousins. On her maternal side; relatives Charles “Chuck” and wife, Carol; Phyllis Haven, Jill Mayhew, and numerous extended family.
