Susan Jill Savage, 80, passed away January 25, 2025. She was born in Bangor, November 6, 1944 the daughter of Horace "Doc" and Elaine Savage.

Jill lived most of her life in Veazie, attending schools there and moving on to Bangor, Japan, California, Washington state, New Jersey and New York while her father was active-duty Air Force.

She was a 1966 graduate of the Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing where she worked for many years, later with Community Health and Counseling Services, and was a consultant for the Mobile Psychiatric Gerontology Team.

Jill was active throughout her life in many organizations, serving on several committees in various positions.

She liked music, arts and people in general, most of all she loved her "little family."

She was predeceased by a daughter Bonnie Scott and a granddaughter Deven Scott.

Surviving are a daughter, Sue Dunning and her husband, Dan Wood; a son, James Dunning and his wife, Michelle Dunning; grandchildren, Stephanie Scott, Cecil Scott, Matthew Marcoux and Noah Dunning; great grandchildren, Isabella Steeves, Aleigha Scott, Jayce Clarke, Natalie Clarke and Kaya Scott.

The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments, 4 pm to 6 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
