Suzanne M. Folsom, 76, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born November 10, 1946, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara Clukey.
Suzanne grew up in Sangerville and graduated from Piscataquis Community High School, Class of 1965. She spent most of her years in Bangor where she earned her LPN nursing certificate at EMVTI. Compasionate for others, Suzanne provided 35+ years of outstanding nursing care to folks of the Bangor area. Working at St. Joseph’s, Westgate Manor, Ross Home and Aging Excellence. Missed will be her keen sense of humor, expressive personality, caring nature, and competitive card playing spirit. Suzanne’s love was (and will continue to be) warmly felt by her family and all who had the chance to spend a little time with her.
Surviving in addition to her partner, Tony Mayo, are her daughter, Stephanie Phair, and her husband Robert, of Hermon; son, Spencer Folsom, and his wife Carol, of Denton, TX; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn Gallant, and her husband Dan of Bangor; brother George Clukey and partner Linda Voter of Bangor; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Suzanne was predeceased by her daughter, Keneen Gass.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for family only, Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio St., Bangor.
