Hermon, Maine- Teresa Kay Greene, age 62, of Hermon, Maine, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, Maine. She was born September 26, 1959 in Watauga County, NC to the late Germia Allen and Virginia Dare Tester Greene.
Theresa is survived by her fiancé and loving companion of 22 years, Paul Andorn of Hermon ME. She has 2 sisters: Janet Hagaman and husband Joe of Vilas, NC and Paula Oxentine and husband John of Vilas; and a sister-in-law, Rita Greene of Vilas, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Sherman Greene.
Teresa was an accomplished professional basket weaver with samples of her works displayed in such venues as the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC. When physical disabilities prevented her from this art form she used her creative talents in many other areas such as cross stitching and crocheting to painting and drawing. She was a member of the Ageless Artists, a senior group meeting weekly to paint.
Teresa loved flowers, animals and all of nature’s offering. She surrounded her home with stuffed animals, plants and other signs of life. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Bonnie and two cats.
A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held at a future date.
