Jackson - Theo A. (Condon) Stacey, 92, died September 30, 2016 at an Augusta Hospital. She was born August 26, 1924 in Monroe, the daughter of Arthur S. and Mary J. (Bradbury) Condon.
Theo was a member of the SAD #3 School Board, the Jackson School Board, the National Grange, and Treasurer for the Genealogical Society at Belfast Library. She also served as Ballot Clerk for the Town of Jackson for many years. Theo devoted her time helping others by teaching Adult Education, Craft Classes, Genealogy Classes, and helping at the Jackson food Pantry.
Known as “Nana” to everyone, Theo was an excellent mother to her children and the many others that moved in with her. There was always room for one more.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Norman “Pete” Stacey and a brother, Franklin Condon. Theo is survived by six children, Carolyn Stacey of Winslow, Gary Stacey of Jackson, Donna Nickerson of Jackson, Jim Stacey of Presque Isle, Norman Stacey of Jackson, and Steven Stacey of Pioneer, CA; two special nephews, Franklin and Wayne Condon; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
