BANGOR & ORONO – Theresa E. (Campbell) McFarland, 93, passed away January 15, 2019, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born August 30, 1925, in Orono, the daughter of Joseph and Agatha (MacDonald) Campbell.
Theresa attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School in Orono. In addition to spending time with family, she enjoyed working outdoors around her home and tending her flower gardens.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William McFarland; a sister, Mary Hart; and brothers, Robert, James, Francis, Earl, Lester, and Joseph Campbell. She is survived by her twin daughters, Betsy Simpson and husband, John of Hampden, and Beverly Hutchinson and husband, David of Bangor; grandchildren, Scott Ashe and fiancée, Jessica Kent of Bangor, Kimberly Morrison and husband, Angus of Bangor, Nichole Schroeher and husband, Kevin of Bangor; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Caitlin Ashe, Logan and Wyatt Morrison, and Brynn and Brody Schroeher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, John Hart and his wife, Michaelene.
A funeral Mass will be held 10a.m., Monday January 21, 2019, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York Street, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, immediately following the Mass, Monday. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bangor, in the spring.
