ENGLEWOOD, FL and PARKMAN, ME – Thomas Salvatore DiNatale, 91, died September 5, 2016 at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 19, 1925 in Boston, MA, son of Salvatore and Beatrice (DeCola) DiNatale.
Tom followed his older brothers into the military, serving in World War II as a Combat Veteran, former Navy Seal. After his military career, he became a Boston Metro Police Officer for many years. Following his retirement, Tom enjoyed spending his summers in Maine, fishing and hunting at Manhanock Pond in Parkman. In Englewood, he was an active member of the Elks and P.E.R. Once a week he hosted Italian Night where he cooked his famous meatballs and sauce to support many charities.
Tom was predeceased by his brothers, a sister and the mother of his children, Eileen. Surviving are their six children, Thomas, William, Nora, Robert, Joan DiNatale and Susan White; ten grandchildren. Also surviving are his second wife, Meredith DiNatale of Venice, FL and her children, Dawn, Gail and Allen.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5 to 7pm, Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main Street, Brewer. A Funeral Mass will be held 11am Friday, September 9, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio Street, Bangor.
