VEAZIE - Thomas J. Goslin, Jr., 78, passed away January 13, 2022, at a Portland hospital with his wife and sister by his side. He was born October 16, 1943, in Alton, the son of Thomas J., Sr. and H. Lois Goslin.
In 1971, he married Patti-Lee Stevenson, whom he met at Family Fun Bowling Lanes in 1969, and they settled in Bangor, later moving to Veazie. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in July.
Tom enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, buying scratch tickets daily, watching television and playing golf with his friends in his spare time. He was an excellent carpenter and painter by trade, retiring from Epstein Properties after 30 plus years. Tom enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, but his biggest challenge was how to keep the squirrels from stealing the birdseed. This resulted in many entertaining moments, finally stopped by attaching a piece of stovepipe to a shepherd hook that the squirrels slid down repeatedly.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his sister, Doreen F. Whitney and her husband, Chet, of Hermon; brothers, Ronald L. Goslin and his wife, Catherine, of Veazie, Steven D. Goslin of Stillwater; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his in-laws, Richard J. and Wilhelmina M. Stevenson. He was also predeceased by his beloved Siamese cats, Sebastian and Cabot.
Per Tom’s request, there will be no service.
