Chapman - Tilda M. Bass, 80, passed away on October 1, 2023. She was born on May 30, 1943, in Fort Kent, ME to Romeo and Catherin Jandreau.
Tilda graduated from Presque Isle High School, Class of 1961. After graduation, she traveled the world, visiting diverse and exciting locations while her husband was serving in the United States Army. After separation from her husband, she returned to Presque Isle, where she began a career with the radio station, WEGP. Soon after, she was hired by the state of Maine as an eligibility specialist, a job that she enjoyed with all her heart. She took immense pleasure in helping those in need. During that time, she met and married Kendon Curtis. They were married for several years before they eventually divorced. Afterward, Tilda met and married Alan Bass. Together, they built a life in Chapman, ME, where they constructed a beautiful home and enjoyed the surroundings provided by the wonders of the outdoors.
Tilda is survived by her son, Donald and Denise Levesque, their son, Jacob, from Orrington, ME; her daughter, Candy Everett and Jeffery, their children, Molly, Ben, and Emma; Molly Everett’s three children, Charlotte, Oliver, and Sophia; her daughter, Robin Sabien, her children, Sage and Savanna.
