HERMON - Tina L. Gallant, 60, passed away August 4, 2024, at home surrounded by family after a heroic battle with breast cancer. She was born June 8, 1964, in Bangor, the daughter of Victor and Sally (Griffin) Neal.
Tina graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School, Class of 1983. Following graduation, she married Barry Gallant. She was a devoted wife and mother of their two daughters. She went on to raise her children as a stay-at-home mom. She ran a beloved daycare in Levant; nurturing and raising many children with boundless love and dedication. Tina attended EMVTI where she received her CNA license. She then continued her career at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center for 20 years.
Tina lived for a good prank, you could always find her scaring and pranking her friends and coworkers. She was a thoughtful, caring, and kind friend to all those she encountered. She was the life of the party, always ordering her signature shot. Her entire world revolved around her grandchildren who were the heart of her life and the source of her greatest joy.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her daughter, Mallory Tatro and her children, Aiden, Aubrey, Ashtin, and Bentley, and son-in-love Shane Tatro; daughter, Monica Parsons and her husband, Andrew, and their children, AJ, Hannah, and Thomas; sisters, Tammie McFarlin and Wendy McFarlin-Smith; brothers, Mike and Hank McFarlin, special friends, Betty Curtis and Michelle Lacombe, Barry and Barbara Gallant, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her biological father, Stanley McFarlin and father-in-law, Arthur “Bud” Gallant.
A Memorial Reception for Tina will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
