Eddington - Tracy D. Drew, 55, died September 26, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born November 1, 1963, in Lincoln, the son of Richard and Freda (Stewart) Drew.
Tracy was a long-time employee for the City of Brewer waste water treatment facility. He was a 21-year member of Alcoholics Anonymous of which he was very proud. Tracy volunteered 10 years at Acadia hospital in the substance abuse After-Care Program, working with teens, then carried his knowledge of addiction and love of helping young people to Job corp where he once again worked with drug/alcohol addicted teens. Tracy enjoyed spending time riding on his motorcycle with his wife by his side. Tracy was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, passing on this love to his granddaughter, who he taught how to hunt and appreciate the outdoors. She got her first deer and turkey with her Bumpa by her side.
He loved when football season started, not to just watch football, but to watch his man crush, Payton Manning. Tracy hated the New England Patriots with a passion and would spend Sunday afternoons arguing this point to his friends.
He was an amazing husband, dad, Bumpa, and friend, always putting others before himself.
Tracy was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 28 years, Dawn M. (Rice) Drew of Eddington; his children, Amanda Day and her husband, Mike, Kenneth Shellhamer and his wife, Aimee, Jesse Keegan and his girlfriend, Sam, and Keith Shellhamer and his wife, Christina; his sister, Darla Bridges and her husband, Larry; his brother, Cory Drew and his girlfriend, Jamie; grandchildren whom were the light of his life, Kailey, Violet, and Jacob; many nieces, nephews and to many special friends to name.
