Victor (“Vic”) F. Fergola, 62, of Hermon, Maine, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 4, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1962, in Rumford, Maine. He is the son of Albert and Majorie (Bulger) Fergola.
Vic grew up in Peru, Maine, and graduated from Rumford High School in 1980. He spent the last 30 years of his career as a service manager at Milton CAT. He had a passion for hunting, ice fishing, and golfing. Victor always looked forward to his bird hunting, deer hunting, and ice fishing trips with his buddies. During deer hunting season, he and his buddies would talk nightly to compare notes on “who saw what” in the woods.
Without a doubt, his absolute biggest love was his family. He was so committed to his wife, Kelly, and his daughter, Kate, always putting them first, always present for any event, and always their biggest cheerleader. He never missed an opportunity to see his daughter shine. She was the first thing he thought about each morning and the last thing he thought about each night. He was so proud of beautiful young woman she has grown to be.
Vic was very well known for his big heart, his willingness to always help, his constant support to all those he loved, for his calming presence, and his easy-going personality. He was so easy to love, and he had a million-dollar smile. He was famous for starting his sentences with “like I said”.
Vic is survived by his wife, Kelly Fergola; daughter, Kate Fergola; future son-in-law Braydon Desmarais; brother, Greg Fergola; sister, Paula Burns; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Vic also holds a very special place in his heart for Karen and Chad Bradbury; Barbara and Gary Nadeau; the Desmarais and the Smith families; Ivon and Ann Turmel and family; Mark Plummer; Tim Richards; Kendall Seavey; Brian Loiselle; David Ferland; Jeff (“Biff”) Bragdon, and Dr. Rick Cabot. He was predeceased by both of his parents (Albert and Marjorie Fergola), by both his mother-in-law and father-in-law (Jeff and Linda McKenney), several aunts and uncles, and his brother-in-law, Mike Burns.
