Victor L. Wilson, 83, passed away September 26, 2022 at his home, after a brief illness, with his wife, children and family by his side.
He was born in Lincoln, June 19, 1939 the son of Robert H. and Elsie J. (Johnson) Wilson. He grew up on Prospect St. and attended Brewer Schools. Victor graduated from Dalhart High School in Texas.
In 1961 he joined the Army and was stationed in Hanau, Germany. He served his country for three years and was honorably discharged in 1964. Victor married his childhood sweetheart, Jeanne Lord, in 1964 and they had three children.
Victor managed LaVerdiere’s Super Drug Store in Brewer for 30 years.
He was a member of the West Hampden Baptist Church for over 30 years.
He also enjoyed spending many summers with his Parks Pond family.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Jeanne Wilson of Brewer; three children, Vicki Swanson and her husband Terry of WI, Kim Beaulieu and her husband Dean of Brewer, Bobby Wilson and his wife Amie of Eddington; 10 grandchildren, Allyssa, Devon, Ryan, Lindsay, Leeann, Shawn, Vanessa, Justin, Dylan and Aaron; seven great grandchildren and two expected; nieces and nephews; and a special neighbor for over 50 years, Larry Homsted. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 30, 2022 at West Hampden Baptist Church, 574 Western Ave. Hampden, where relatives and friends are invited to call 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, North Main St., Brewer. All are invited to a reception at the church, following the service.
