Bangor - Victoria (Taylor) McCarron, 70, died on November 3, 2022, after a long illness. She was born January 1, 1952 in Bangor, the daughter of Robert A. Taylor and Annette (Cummings) Taylor.
Vicki graduated from Bangor High School in 1970, attended the University of Maine Orono where she graduated with a degree in education in 1974 and her masters in 1982. She dedicated her life to education, teaching elementary school for 31 years in Missouri and Dexter, Maine.
Vicki’s first marriage blessed her with two wonderful children; later, in 2003, she reconnected with and married her lifelong friend Michael McCarron, and they loved and celebrated one another for all of their 19 years of marriage. Victoria retired in 2014 to pursue her passion for crafts, particularly quilting and sewing, and to spend time traveling this great country with her love, Michael.
Victoria is survived by her husband, Michael McCarron; her daughter, Shannon Souza and husband, Jesse Souza, of Winslow; her son, Adam Hess and his wife, Michaela Hess, of the United Kingdom; three grandchildren, Georgina Plum Souza, Odin Hess and Olias Hess; she is also survived by a large family of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. All are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St, Bangor, immediately following the service.
