Victoria Morrison

January 4, 1940 — August 14, 2024

Victoria S. Morrison (Crabbe), known affectionately as Vickie, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, in Bangor, Maine, at the age of 84. Born on January 4, 1940, in Argyle, Canada, Vickie dedicated 35 years of her life as a beloved Ed-Tech at Mapleton Elementary School, where she touched the lives of many students and colleagues.

Vickie is survived by a loving family including her siblings Sheila Seely, Katherine Bell, Geneva Curto, and John Crabbe; her children Dale Morrison and Mitzi Rogers, daughter-in-law Michele Morrison, son-in-law Sam Rogers; grandchildren Timothy Morrison and wife Sara, Melissa Morrison and her husband Ozan Erat, and Andrew Morrison; and great-granddaughters Kinsley and Addelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Crabbe and Katherine (Branscombe) Crabbe, her husband of 46 years, Galen Morrison, and her sister Jean Dudley.

A devout member of the West Chapman Advent Church, Vickie cherished her church family and was guided by Pastor Nate Gardiner. Her life was marked by her deep faith and commitment to her community.

Vickie was also an accomplished pianist, delighting many with her musical talents. A phenomenal cook, she was famed for her cookies and oatmeal bread, always ensuring there was an extra plate at the table for anyone in need. Her annual vacations to PEI with her family were a cherished tradition, and she held a special place in her heart for her cats and all cats. In her final months, Vickie enjoyed the companionship of her new community at Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation. The family would like to thank the entire staff at BNR for their care, attention and love showered on Vickie on a daily basis.

A service celebrating Vickie's life will be held at 10 am on August 24th at West Chapman Advent Church, 3466 W. Chapman Rd, Mapleton, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the West Chapman Advent Building fund P.O. Box 194 Mapleton Maine 04757. Vickie's kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
