CORINTH – Vincent J. “Vinny” Cormier Sr., 89, passed away peacefully February 17, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1929 in Richibucto, New Brunswick, the son of Placid and Margaret (Cheverie) Cormier.
Shortly after birth, Vinny and his family moved from New Brunswick to Brookline, MA. He married Anita M. Martin on November 29, 1957. Vinny worked for Buck Printing Company in Boston for a number of years. Later in life, he became a great salesman, selling pave and seamless gutters, having been blessed with the gift of gab. Vinny was a talented musician and singer, who enjoyed playing his guitar and keyboards. He was also a family man, who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Vinny was predeceased by the love of his life, Anita Cormier, in 2018; a son, John V. “Jack” Cormier; brothers, Paul Cormier, and Arthur Cormier. He is survived by Vincent J. “Vinny” Cormier Jr. and wife, Jolene, Thomas J. Cormier Sr. and wife, Marie, Richard J. Cormier and wife, Kelly; grandchildren, Thomas “TJ” Jr., Dylan, Jessie, Joey, Megan, Ryan; great-granddaughter, Belle Ivy and Kristen; a brother, Robert Cormier; sisters, Jeannette Hudson, and Marguerite Spence; a sister-in-law, Maisie Martin; and a special friend/caretaker, Chris Beatham.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 12pm-1 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, where a Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be held 1p.m., Friday.
