ORONO – Virginia E. Nadeau, 92, passed away November 6, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born May 14, 1921, the daughter of George and Christine Thibodeau.
Virginia graduated from St. Mary’s High School, in Orono. She worked at Striers Textile for 46 years. Virginia liked to read and enjoyed visiting friends. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Virginia is survived by her sons, Anthony Nadeau of Orono and Albert Nadeau of Bolton, CT; a daughter, Shirley Maillett of Manchester, CT; three grandchildren, Terry, Shelly, and Timothy; several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, a sister, Christine Dyer of Orono, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Virginia is predeceased by her husband, Albert Nadeau.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Orono Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 72 Main St., Orono. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Orono, following the service. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
