Vita Fullerton

Vita R. (Cutuli) Fullerton, 79, of Bangor, Maine, passed away on March 11, 2022. She was the beloved mother of Roy and Mark (Wendy), and devoted grandmother of India and Calvin (mother Lori).

Vita was an Air Force spouse for 25 years. At the age of 20, she was raising a family in Berlin, Germany, just blocks from the Berlin Wall. The family also lived in Oregon, Aviano, Italy, Maine and Montana. Vita’s perseverance made these transitions seamless for her boys. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and assisted Boy Scouts in achieving merit badges in gardening and citizenship. Later in life, Vita returned to school to pursue a career as a certified nursing assistant. She provided care for the elderly in Maine for many years. Vita also was an avid bird watcher and loved to go out dancing.

Vita would say that her greatest joy and accomplishment in life was her two loving sons. Roy attended the United States Air Force Academy, and after 25 years of service retired as a lieutenant colonel. Mark attended West Point and is a distinguished civil engineer.

Vita lived her final years at Country Meadows in Bangor, Maine and Durgin Pines in Kittery, Maine. The Fullerton family is grateful to the dedicated staff who provided superb care and compassion.

A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Steet, Bangor, Maine, followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt.
