Vivian Marie (Knight) Moore was born on February 28, 1952 in Winston Salem, North Carolina to Mary Mitchell. She moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1958. In 1973, she married the love of her life, Frederick Charles Moore, Sr, and from this union came four children. In 1977, she and her husband moved to Bangor, Maine, where she worked at Dorothy Dix for 30 years and retired in 2017.
Vivian loved to shop, decorate, travel, knit, and play cards. Just like her mother, Vivian was known for expressing her love through cooking and sending hand written cards. If you had her fried chicken, you knew it was cooked with love. She enjoyed her soap operas and her girl time conversations with her best friends. She had the ability to make friends where ever she went. She was classy, selfless, caring, loving, compassionate and funny. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her loving spirit will truly be missed by all.
Preceding her in death were her husband Frederick Charles Moore, Sr., her daughter Taneyka D. Moore, her mother Mary M. Mitchell, and her brothers Mario Mitchell, Mark Mitchell and Braxton Mitchell.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories are her three children: Sharon D. Moore, Sharmaine M. Moore, and Frederick C. Moore, Jr (Brandi Love). Her siblings: Guy Lando Mitchell (Elnora Miles), Treva Knight (Joseph Cox), Mary Mitchell, Linda Mitchell, Reginald Knight, Geraldine Mitchell (Jay White), Curjire Vailes (Wayne Vailes). Her grandchildren: Taneyka M. Moore, Kale Moore, Derrick Moore, Demetrious Moore- Tolbert and Tatiana Moore. One great grandchild: Paris Moore. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Close family and friends: Doris Hunt (Cousin), Lillia Creech, Steven Shorter, Sue Smith, Victoria Galloway, Martha Shaw, Doretha Grant, Willie Mae Knight (Aunt), Deborah Hughes, Josie Headen, Millie Ward, Shane and Warren Rinks, Rick Hall and the Brothers from the Mason Lodge, Dell Clarkson and family.
