Wanda Golding

March 30, 1949 — June 28, 2022

HAMPDEN.

Wanda (Libby) Golding, our beloved wife, mother and Meme, died Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the age of 73.
Born March 30, 1949 in Chester, Maine to John C. and Norma (Leavitt) Libby. Wanda loved her family - especially her grandchildren - more than anything.
One of the hardest working women you’ll ever meet, Wanda was proud of her time at UMaine, the Bangor Daily News, Walmart, Libby’s Restaurant and most of all The Donut Boys - the business she started with her beloved husband Richard Golding.

Wanda loved the days when she could travel, spending time at camp in Sebec, winters in Texas, and any time her family was together. She never missed an opportunity to kiss your cheek with her “green” lipstick, check to make sure her hand was still a “perfect fit,” and tell you she “loved you more.”

She is survived by her husband and best friend Richard Golding; children, Michael Thibodeau and girlfriend Sarah Smith, Megan (Thibodeau) Burpee and husband Marcus, Cory Thibodeau and wife Aimee; grandchildren, Cameron Burpee and fiancé Chloe Phelan, Zachary and Kaileigh Burpee, Noah Thibodeau, Bradley Smith-Doucette, Chloe and Gunner Thibodeau; great grandchildren Jaxson and Colton Burpee; siblings, John Libby Jr. and wife Gail, Deanna Libby, Errol Libby and wife Jackie, and Candy Wallace and husband Danny; brother-in-law, Keith Borrello; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, ex-husband and friend Raymond “Raymo” Thibodeau, sisters, Sandra (Libby) Borrello, Jackie Berry and Ann Marie Libby.

A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held at a later date. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com
