FRAMINGHAM, MA and BREWER – Willard H. Blaisdell, 92, of Framingham, MA passed into eternal rest Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the MetroWest Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Blaisdell was the husband of Arlene Tebbetts for 29 years. He was born in Bangor, ME, the son of the late Walter and Hazel (Chase) Blaisdell.
Mr. Blaisdell served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the destroyer USS Guest in the South Pacific. He worked 38 years for Raytheon as an electrical and radar engineer, retiring in 1990.
Willard is survived by his wife, Arlene, daughters, Jean Houghton of Indiana, Jan Roberts of California and June Horr and her husband, William of Maine; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy, his brothers Roscoe and Raymond, sister Marion McLeod, and grandson, Ryan Horr.
A funeral service will be held 1pm, Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main Street, Brewer with the Rev. Michael Wilbur, pastor of the Morse’s Corner Baptist Church, Corinna, officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 12 noon until time of service Monday.
