HUDSON- William P. Cary, 83, passed away Tuesday December 24, 2013, at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born March 17, 1930 in Bangor, the son of George Cary and Hazel (Sturgeon) Cary Powers. Pat grew up in Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School. He joined the U.S. Armed Forces and upon his discharge returned to the Bangor area. He worked as a self employed electrician for many years but was known as a “handyman” and was often called upon for many projects other then wiring. Pat was an avid hunter and fisherman and often fished with his brother George in Passadumkeag Stream. He is survived by his wife Olga Cary of Bangor, a son Sheldon Cary of Bangor, four grandchildren, his brother George “Wendell” Cary and his wife Betty of Passadumkeag, two sisters-in-law, Doreen Cary of Barre, VT, Evelyn Cary of Clermont, FL, and seventeen nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son Lance Cary, and six siblings, Kay Townsend, Coleen Gradie, Keith Cary, Larry Cary, Robert Cary and Ronald Cary.
