William Michaud

William "Bill" John Michaud of Dedham, ME, April 5, 1955 to April 11, 2025

Bill was born in Ft. Eustis, Virginia and grew up in Caribou, Maine where, in school, he excelled in academics and athletics. He attended the University of Maine earning a BS in Business Administration and served as President of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Bill's professional journey included significant roles as a senior sales executive for Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Ethicon and GE Healthcare. He capped his career at Color Kinetics Inc., where as an executive team member, the company achieved a very successful IPO on the NYSE.

During leisure time, Bill enjoyed many activities throughout his life. Some favorites were golf, jet skiing and boating on Phillips Lake. He had a lifelong, passionate love of animals, especially Labrador Retrievers, who were always treated as cherished family members.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Laura (White) Michaud from Bangor Maine, where they met and married July 1, 1978. He is also survived by his mother Marjorie Michaud, his siblings Todd Michaud and Laurie Thibodeau. He is also remembered fondly by his sister-in-law, Elaine Grant and husband Steve, brother-in-law Clifton Thibodeau, nephews Christopher (Megan Mansfield) Grant and Matthew (Annie) Grant, grand niece and nephew Madison and Carter Grant, adopted niece Emiley Walts, and special friends Buster and Tracy Houchins, Mike and Sue White. Last, but not least, Bill is survived by his loyal dog companion, Ian. He was predeceased by his nephew Derek Thibodeau, father William Michaud, and Laura's parents Gilbert and Joyce White.

Bill's generous and vibrant spirit, kindness, humor and enthusiasm for life will be missed by all who knew him.

The family would also like to thank Beacon Hospice for their exceptional compassion and care for Bill in his final days, especially Kristy and Lacey.

The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments, while celebrating the life, and honoring the legacy of this remarkable man, 4 pm to 6 pm Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, Maine.
