William "Bill" Joseph Patrick Nadeau, 77, passed away at his home January 30th, 2025. He was born in Bangor on May 20th, to Joseph and Dorothy Nadeau.
Bill worked numerous jobs throughout his life, finding a niche and many good friends working for RGIS Inventory, a job that also took him to Europe for 6 weeks, and Maine State Tourism; where he used a lifetime in the state and a willingness to break out an accent and play the part of an old Mainer to inform and entertain people who stopped at either of the Hampden Visitor Information Stations on Interstate 95.
Nothing made Bill happier than being surrounded by friends and family at the dining room table, which was always topped with a game, a deck of cards, or a wonderful home cooked meal. Music was always on in the Nadeau household, as Bill spent many long hours creating 'compilations', distilling favorite songs from the thousands of LPs or CDs (depending on the decade) he collected and diligently kept organized alphabetically by genre. Bill was a huge baseball fan and for over 30 years maintained a fantasy league titled the Back Road Baseball League with a selected group of family and very close friends.
Bill is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Aaron and his wife, Angela, of Pikesville, MD; and granddaughter, Ella.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1pm, Friday, May 9, 2025 at Brookside Cemetery, Chapman Road, Newburgh.
